What a day of ups and downs... Some hot laps from some, and a pretty high rate of breakages also.

I thought the prospect of spending $1000 on my diff AGAIN after smoking the bearings today after only the first session was ordinary, but then Justen stepped it up with his monster giving up the ghost, but prize of the day for spectacular exit definitely goes to Cuzbro I'm sure he'll tell more when ready

A mixed day for sure...a new PB with a 67 flat and more time to come as the tyres were running 36psi hot The PB session saw a fair bit of blow by spewing oil around.

I figured i had one more session left in in and went out to crack a 66.....i had a clean lap to do it but muffed a downshift to 2nd.....started again next lap but No7 finally let go completely and i nearly spun in my own oil....not mention the cabin filling with oil smoke

5 years from a stock import engine though...gotta be happy with that.

well it was a "intresting" first track day for me....just got in the dorr, and i have a MASSIVE migraine and my shoulders and neck are hurting pretty bad...

What a day... for some reason, toyota reliable died today.

V8 soarer blew his gbox (but we all knew that w58 wasn't long for this earth)
Garth's battery decided to start an engine bay fire
1jz rolla did his diff bearings
1jz cressy did the front left wheel bearing
My farking supra decided the oil drain off the turbo would leak when decent rpm/boost was reached, so it never saw a full lap in anger
Justen shat a piston (but that's been on the cards for a LONG time )

Hey Kyle, that was a big hit so don't hesitate to go see a Dr asap or even head to emergency if things get worse as I have witnessed people involved in far less and have walked away thinking they were fine only to end up in a spinal ward and halo for months or end up with a bleed on the brain.

Not trying to worry you but do get checked out properly mate, I'd hate to see either yourself or Adam end up having an issue down the track.


Personally I had a good day out checking out everyones cars and scabbing a few rides, the old GT8 is certainly an eye opener to what speed is all about

Big thanks to Phil for letting me have a few laps in the 1JZ-Rolla, even on low boost it was a hell of a lot of fun

Hopefully I'll have my car back on the road asap and up there.......probably with a cage after todays reality check provided by Cuzzo

.....and Adam, as I said when I was leaving if you get a shell and want a hand to swap stuff over one weekend let me know

^^ yeh man... ill see how i go, it doesnt feel worrying....just a little muscle soreness really... i honestly think (and pics will back it up) that adams side took more damage...he was pretty snug inside his seat though!
