    Hey all...

snow tyre... maybe 205/50/15?? (will check) on factory 15" alloy = 16kg

    Zeit SS 17" rim with RE-01R 215/45/17 = 21.5kg

For what it is worth, I weighed the rims and tyres in my garage the other night, to work out the weight my custom tyre rack will need to withstand. Here are the numbers:

    Standard RA23/28 steel rim with 185 65 14 Hardcock tyre 17kg
    Standard RA23/28 steel rim with 195 60 14 Yoko 032R comp 16kg
    Soarer 15 x 6 alloy with 225 50 15 Yoko 032R comp 16kg
    14 x 6 chrome spoked aftermarket rim 195 65 14 Goodyear GA 19kg

Never weighed them with tires, but my 14x6 BR wheels are 5.1kg each and my OZ racing 14x6 are 6.2kg, add about 9-10kg for a 185/60/14 tire.

www.tirerack.com have tire weights on their site.

17" wheels are usually fairly heavy, see http://www.miata.net/faq/wheel_weights.html
