RA/TA2x oil temp gauge sender..

Hey guys.. picked up a factory oil temp gauge from the guy selling GTV parts on eBay a couple month ago.. of course, it came with no sender and the seller knew little about it .. (the gauge or the sender)

Does anyone know if the oil temp uses the same sender as the water temp gauge? (Ive seen this with aftermarket gauges..)?

If this isnt the case.. does anyone happen to have the part # for the temp sender?

i think your just gonna have to go out and try it. most sender simply change resistance with respect to temp, one end goes to the gauge the other shorts onto the engine.

You can make your own with a thermistor or thermo coupler, (sorry i can't think of the real name of it, ask you electronic store) but you won't have a nice case for it...

just use the water temp as the oil temp switch is hard to find some early 2tg had most of them the switch is under the fuel pump .it bolted to the main oil gallery the production date was 73 to the end of 74 and was only a option on the GTV model
