I have it on good authority that Nathan at Just alloy radiators can make you a triple core TA22 radiator.... Send him a PM ,. RiceburnaGTV

other than that I have heard rumours of an excel radiator which fits the TA22 framework but havent ever seen one? better to get one from Nathan.

Thumbs up Re: 2t radiator upgrade

    Why?

With a clean system and a good stock rad and thermostat = No probs

Thought the same thing 2 1/2 years ago, our 2nd project has been flogged everywhere & still good.

excel radiator which fits the TA22

its ture that RiceburnaGTV can make you an incredible radiator but the stock one does the job fine. I had a completely fckd stock radiator for ages - all the fins were rusted and the channel things were blocked etc. etc.. and it still kept my car cool for 2 years. I now run a ke30 radiator in there and while its not as big it fits with minimal modifications - i got it for a complete bargain at a wreckers so i used that instead of getting my stock one record. The early ta22's - 71,72 - had even smaller radiators than the 73-75 models. If you do have problems maybe just get it re-cored.

i put a single core nissan 180sx rad in my rolla, its cooling a 4ac. fairly big single core aluminium. cools kinda too well, so much so that with no fan it takes quite a while for the thermostat to open fully on cold mornings. never over heats in traffic which is about the only time i turn the manually switched thermo fan on.

they are cheap as, same as s13 etc, only just clears my bonnet tho as they are a bit taller.

Use an RA23 radiator its wider, you just hav to make two metal tags, to bolt one of the sides up. The other side you just bolt in the standard holes.
