Wow, 1st time ive heard that . I know ive seen people make 350+ on a stock fpr .
According to my tuner, the 1J fuel regs run out at high 2**rwkw... So i opted for a bigger one to allow me to get as close to 300 as possible...
Cheers,
Jase

I wasnt sure, just assumed he'd have a better idea than me. I think the FPR might just get unsteady at higher power, and he likes to tune them really tidy for street driving..?
I have no idea...

your tuner is feeding you lies.
many people running much more than 300rwkw on stock reg. nothing wrong with them at all. they are not a restriction at all.
if you have a powerfc and hand controller you can do the injector adjustment so runs a bit smoother but i have run 440's on the stock map and it still runs but just crazy rich.

There is nothing wrong with the stock reg, it works perfectly fine and you would only change it if A) you are foing for 450rwkw+ or B) if your to tight to spend money on the correctly sized injectors in the first place.
Tidy for street driving you say, if you had have seen the maps in a mates corolla and sorted out all the problems it had then you would certainly be thinking otherwise.
but there may be others with better experiences than his.
JZA70R, im not a mechanic, just a fabricator and using just basic hand tools ive had the job done in that time, mind you i am confident with ripping stuff apart and i don't let something as simple as a nut and bolt beat me![]()
