I don't, if you were circuit racing it i would definately fit them but for 400rwkw for 10secs (hopefully less) i wouldn't really bother.

But having said that if you are going to pull the bottom end apart to throw in a set of second hand gte pistons (or forgies) then it would be extremely easy just to whack the block in a mill and fit your 1jz squirters straight in.

    cheers

But the car does visit Wakefield a couple of times a year, so I like your idea of fitting the squirters to the bare block, didn't know that was possible, cheers

Is it as simple as machining a bore through to the oil gallery & threading the top section for the oil squirters?

I'm tempted to run the factory high comp NA bottom end to start with on a safe tune & moderate boost, the spread of torque should be phenomenal!

drill 6 holes, spot face them so the washer seals, chamfer and tap. its a couple of hours work if you havn't done it before but its no big deal.
if you have a bare 1jz block it will show you exactly were they go. my VVTi should be apart next weeks so i can measure that if needed.

it would be more responsive but id cap the boost fairly low if you want it to last, or i could probly get you a full set of S/H gte pistons for about 250 odd (ill have to double check)

    cheers

id say so. just depends if they had revisions of the blocks or not. 1/2jz block moulds were the same GE to GTE so they can be done easily but a 4ac block may not have the same galleries as BT20v.

and 4A's will only require 4 holes the other 2 may cause issues

    cheers
