300kws atw is quite a challenge! I'm not sure I've heard of that sort of power figure before from a 4AGE, although I could be wrong...in any case it would be difficult.

Just to give you a comparison, I'm running a GT2860RS and making 175kws atw on 16psi...if I wound the boost up I could make over 200kws. You have to be careful about going too big of a turbo for a small 4-cylinder motor...lag and the like would be quite a bitch. If it's purely a dyno-queen, then you may not worry about those things...what will the car be used for?

A search for "300rwkw 4agte" will funnily enough bring up what you are looking for.
hope you have lots of money.

My question is has anyone turbod a 4agte with a 3076 or seen it done with good results

Not sure if it was a gt3076 but definetly a 30 variant. goes by the plates CHKM8 (or something similar) he's in the radrollaz.

You may find some pics of it on here in previous cruise however not any specs or build pics.

I believe around 15psi he make 230 kw at FWD.

That above information is very vague but if you were extra keen on more specs PM the main co-founder of Radrollaz username Radrollaz on here and rolaclub.

Tony rigolli's ae92 corrola was using one of them on a silvertop 20 valve, im not sure what power figure it was getting but it was pulling in the 11sec bracket so it was good. I asked them bout the turbo they said the 16valve doesnt work so well with the big turbo's but as the 20valve can suck more air in the gt30 worked extremely well.
300kw is doable just like most things as long as you have the right amount of money

    LOL

Pogy: I am keen to see how you go mate and the sort of numbers you can punch. Also keen to see the response of the turbo.
What comp ratio you using?. What cams ? Is it going to be a std 20v head ?

I do like seeing the efficency comparrision between my motor and others. IE the sort of power/ torque other motors make at a specified boost level.
From this i can get a good idea of how well tuned the engine is and compare it with mine to see if im loosing out anywhere.

i wouldn't run with a .82 on a 1600cc unless you want to rev the thing upto and over 10K, it just wont need that size rear a .63 would be much better suited.

on a 2l with cams, big comp and other boltons it would have a hard time reaching full boost by 5K so on a 1.6 i doubt itll be on before 6K, fine for drags but not for the track.

I think dx20vt has a similar setup but then change to a 7a bottom end to reduce the amount of lag.

    cheers

How hard is it to change to .63, is it as simple as disassemble and assemble?

Im probably wrong, but I'd tend to think that would surge on a 4A with a relatively stock rev limit (that is if you can even get it to spool).

Random comment... I just want more specs on the rest of the build of a 400whp worthy 4A.

I don't think it would be that easy on a ball bearing turbo. As far as I've heard on the internet, they can't be rebuilt by DIY like regular journal bearing turbos can. You normally replace the whole CHRA when it goes bad.

But assuming the turbine wheel can fit in a .63 housing, yes, its as simple as disassemble and assemble.

Very easy, buy the 0.63 housing, undo 6 bolts to remove the 0.82, and install the 0.63

CA/SR's get up around that figure with ~20PSI, so you should be able to make it with a 4A

And as mentioned by others, i'd go the 0.63 housing
