The flanged yoke Celsior and Soarer boxes have identical plugs to the slip yoke Crown box, with the exception of the rear speed sensor.

will the crowns different speedo pulse work on a jzx81 digital dash? if so then ill just have to bite the bullet and have a new flange made for the gearbox with the flanged end. and you are right, the plugs are the same now i did some more looking...just a simple case of wiring up the speedo sensor yeah?

Not the speedo sensor, the rear speed sensor, ie the ABS sensor/sensor so the ecu knows what speed the car is doing.

My setup is from a uzs141 Crown Majesta/Aristo, so I might be able to help with wiring.

What was your gearbox from again? J/UZS161 may be a 5 speed - check the blue plate on the drivers side of the box and let us know what it says

I'm really quite sure you mean JZS147

    Not JZS161.

And why on earth aren't you just using the 1UZ auto?

Its a two-piece shaft right? so maybe chase up the front piece off a 1UZ car (assuming the middle is the same) and that way avoid having to make something up?

nah i had a 1000hp tailshaft made which cost me $1000 when i was going to put the 2j in, hence i was reluctant to modify it....is v8 supercar spec im told...anyway i just have to mod the front piece to accept a yoke, which hardie spicer now have in stock and can put a massif uni on...

Its been a few years since I've played with a UZS131 loom, but I don't recall either of those plugs existing on mine.

Granted it was a cut loom, and thus butchered, but the wire colour/size doesn't ring a bell.
