lol, well....
the cannot be dynoed with the powerfc as the connection from my tuners laptop has a different port to what is on my power FC. i have booked it in for 2 weeks time.
he did run the fuel system analysis on it and find that when it his boost the AFR was 14.5 a little lean hence the knocking... well the hks ecu is back in for another 2 weeks
cheers
matt
why didn't they fatten up the mixture on the PFC and see if it changed? If it didn't then it is almost certainly the fuel pump running out of flow.
to just fatten it up as you said would have taken a while to do it across the board, what i was told is that the commander is used more as a 'point' tuning device and not to fatten a whole range there fore it would have taken a lot longer and there was no point half tuning it.
wait two weeks hopefully have some injectors/cam gears in by then and my EBC on. then do the lot at once
cheers
matt
your a crazy man matt, its not like you haven't enough power anywaySo the fuel seems to be bad then. Is it possible that the FPR isn't working properly or will it not even get to 5K in that case? Just a thought.
Noisy Diff and Gearbox Club of Pine Riversand you thought your car was loudThe Soarer brought to you by the letter TT
octane booster is your friend, get rid of that pinging.
Eldar.O.
*SMACK* no.. no its not...
I was thinking though you should check the position of the cam/crank angle sensor? - perhaps you are getting too much ignition advance?
hmmm that is a good suggestion! but would that take a lot of time to do on the dyno if that is the problem? lol
i am just SOOOO over it!
cheers
matt
should be able to check the timing with a timing light.. check the base value (don't know what its supposed to be) but it could also be going whacky at revs..
also to check the timing with a timing light with out cars you will need 2 spark plug leads and chop the ends off. You jam one end into the coil and the other onto the plug so you can use the lead like you normally do with a timing light. Haven't really got to try it out yet as with the Wolf I never got to running stage so no timing check.
doh! yeah forgot about that little coil on plug thing..
well all i know is that with the pfc in the ign timing at idle was all over the shop adjustingon the fly etc etc. when it was revving it changed. at like 3K revs it was 34 degrees or something stupid
cheers
matt
34 degrees at light loads is normal. Under boost it should be retarded further. Check the 1jz timing thread to see what the power fc base map is.
damn! im dying to find out what this problem is!!!!
