well done. thats awesome work there.
i looked at your dash and thought - hmmm you need some retro action ala the delorean from back to the future instead of some of those gauges.

    Yes indeedy!
The flux capacitor is very puuritty!

Will get right on the piles of red and green 7 segment displays & flashing buttons ASAP

Speaking of dash, I just finished testing all the circuits for interfacing the tacho, oil pressure & re-scaled coolant temp. coming along very nicely.
    Will post circuits when done.

Problem being that you get all those nice flashing lights in, and it halves your battery life !

    Minor Update
    Monday, 21 December 2009

    Hi all,

Progress has been slow due to Holidays and the like, been struggling to get the Supra ready for Motorvation in Jan.

Currently working on the instrument interface board.
I have successfully tested functionality of Tacho, re-calibrated temperature sender, Batt, Check Engine & Oil pressure warning lights.
Board design is more-or-less done, just a matter of printing & etching the PCB.

The special corrosion inhibitor for the battery terminals has arrived, in the next few days I should have the terminals done & a few smaller bits of wiring tidied up, prolly wont get time for a decent test drive till after new years though.

Not bad, but with the conversion cost of $17,000, his gripe about $55 in fuel a week will take him six years for his project to pay off, obviously much sooner if fuel keeps going up. So I hope his long term investment works for him
