    Cool we are getting somewhere.
    means the prob is at no 2 some where.
    Try taking the lead form no 1 and swapping it with no .2 ( pull off dizzy and completly swap. dont just sawp firing order. this will isolate if it is the lead or not

    we have changed the leads completly as we have 2 sets! so it cant be leads that out! and we have 3 dizzy caps 2 were slighly cracked the one thats on is perfect! so it cant be that what else?

    pull out the plug and check the gap. can close up sometimes if you hit the side of the head upon insatalation. + it could of cracked when it was tightened. swap plugs around or try another if you have em

    Check compression on that cylinder.
    The valve could be stuck open, motor might just need a thrash to loosen up.

    Hi,
    My car sounded exactly like a WRX (4AGZE with twin coil pack) when one of the coil packs was bad....your car sounds like its probably running on 2 cylinders for some reason. Check injectors are pulsing and spark is on all cylinders.

    ok changed the plug and no go
    still same in cyl 2

    Idle your car and unplug one injector at a time with engine running.....when the engine slows down you know you just unplugged a 'good' cylinder. Least you can see which is bad that way..might help you.

    like nick said check that the injector plug is on properly ( injector could be blocked)
    Did you check all cyls by pulling off lead or just stop when you found no2 made no diff?

    When you swapped plugs did you check that the prob is still at no 2 cyl by pulling off lead again?

    nick, after pulling them all off again cyl 2 does nothing once pulled all other slow engine down as you say.

    injector wont make a diff if there is no spark and vice versa. When you pull off the lead when the car is running is there a spark to earth?

    yes, plenty of spark as my hand felt it dont feel so good after a quick shock

    looks like we are heading towards injector then. and without a comp test you cant rule that out either ( wrecker mabe wrong about comp) the only other thing i can suggest ( time consuming) is to pull off the fuel rail and swap injectors around and see if the prob moves. if so then you no its a crook injector. also a led test light on the injector plug to see if its pulsing ( but you prob wont have one of them)
    You can also check the spark plug and see if its wet but this isnt very accurte as the injector can still squist fuel but just not enough.
