Thanks Chuck, will see how we go. Might throw one in as a backup just incase I get stranded, but there should be plenty of opportunities for fuel in the towns along the way hopefully.
Reckon 10L per 100km onthe highway is too optimistic in a 1200kg car with 1JZ?

I would however really appreciate if one of the trailered boys could please help me by carrying 2 spare rims for me please please pleaseWill have to arrange to drop them to whomever the night before we leave for dubbo. In the interest of being able to drive back home to Canberra without breakages, I won't run the 9" rims on the back for the Khana
Cheers

The supra will not be making the trek with us![]()
The convoy up to Dubbo on Friday is going to be huge, not since I watched "The Caravan of Courage - an Ewok adeventure" at Kedderz house will I have seen anything of this scale!
On the petroleum distillate subject, I think I refueled at Cowra with 95ron when we stopped for Maccas last year. I'm sure there would be 98 in a town like that though at another servo.

I saw those pictures kristel, that head doesnt look healthy, will you be able to weld up those coolant jackets?
RA23 - Twincharged
JZZ20 - Daily
This happened:
(It's the same in all the water jackets)
The head will now have to become a coffee table.
EDIT - Kedderz - Don't think I really want to. Would much prefer to have something I know is 99.9% okay, rather than masking problems.
Does anyone know what causes this????
Its corrosion im afraid. Ive taken apart 3 7m's all of them had this to a certain extent, but none as bad as that.
Welding it up isnt dodgy, drop it in to phillip head services or the like and ask them to see if its worth salvaging.
Remember a second hand 7m head could be just as bad.

I can't see the pics but from the description it sounds like a corrosion issue.

Yep, thought that would have been a contributing factor. *angry face*
