jack the front up in the air so the the tyres are just scubbing on the ground, get the motor warmed up and then get inside cabin and work the steering like a drunk in a dodgem cart - if it's leaking you should find some new oil stains.
PS pump and reservoir is on opposite side from exhaust.
Yeah I'd have thought there would be a drip or splash somewhere. I've degrease the engine so its pretty clean now. Few little engine oil leaks but not seeing any PS fluid.

1FZ's have the same setup as the 1HZ I'm pretty sure. Driven off a gear on the crank. Can leak the same way as the 1HZ's

Yah you are right.. Fark.. that probably explains it then.
I better pull the pump off and suss it out.
At least just drop the oil first and see if it's in there before you take the sump off...if you can't see anything, take some used oil aside and mix P/S fluid through it to see if there should be anything noticeable.Originally Posted by TurboRA28

sump off? I thought I could just unbolt the pump and replace the front seal?
Must be going blind, sure I saw "sump" instead of "pump", probably got distracted by all the talk of it leaking into the oil.Originally Posted by TurboRA28

Just be careful when replacing the seal like i said if the shaft is worn it will be a waste of time. The pumps are easy to pull a part.
Cheers
