now i am the proud owner of a sc aw11 with all the standard stuff- suspension, zorst, pully kit etc. but what I have come relise is that it is just too slow, I want more power.
So i put it to you wisest of toyota owners what would be the most cost efficant/power gaining meathod to more power ripping out the old 4agze and slapping in a 3sgte with some bolt on goodies, or turboing the 4agze.

The 3SGTE is a good thing, but if I were in your situation I'd turbo the GZE.

I'd just go buy a Jap SW20 /w 3SGTE.
Or if you really like the AW11 then just turbo the GZE... The GZE is a good little motor, not as good as the 3S but then it's a whole bunch of pain and much more $$$ doing the 3SGTE.
I'm in the same boat mate, but I'm going to go for the 3S. If you want to turbo your GZE, I've got a turbo manifold here, and a few other bits and peices, PM me...
How much power do you want? A GZE with a CA18DET turbo will make about 200ATW, and I've heard that's not too laggy.

hmmm, yes 200 atw from a 4age is very tempting, and would prefer not to do an engin swap, so i think a 4agte is the go. But I am also considering selling the aw11 and buying a faster car like an r32 gtr or an evo III. but I don't kow if I should switch to the darkside. I will keep you posted as to what i decide.

The dark side may be more powerful, but it will lead only to sadness. An SW20 3SGTE would make a nice replacement, and be quite fast too. Flyen has had about 50 gorillas thrown at it, and is about as fast as a GT3 porsche around a race track... i dont think you really need to go faster than that.

Yeah, but they're 2 totally different cars. The SW20 is bigger, heavier, and feels it, but has mucho power. The AW11 is light and fast, and I guess with the 3S-GTE will be faster than an SW20..plus, I like the look of them

well unfortunetly the money i hoped to have is not coming about. so I am stuck with the ze non turboed. but on the littler side i should have enough to put some cams i the ze and get a computer for it, that shoud do as a nice replacement.
by the way does anyoe know where I coud get a set of cams that will have optim power between 3-3.5 and 7-7.5 thou rpm.

Ask HKS what grinds they do for the ZE, or see if Crow do a pair of cams for it. Dont forget that if you put in new cams, you need to run in the cams, this is a special procedure which should be outlined to you by the cam manufacturer.
