Rules for Khanas are very loose.

So long as the brakes work, tyres are not bald, steering is direct, seatbelts are ok, nothing is loose (including battery and no loose items in interia), no leaks, and the wheels are secure, it should be fine...

Me and the g/f are slumming it in a tent at Dubbo City Caravan park, just across the river from the centre of town, fellow Toyota drivers are more than welcome to pitch a tent alongside (if they have room left).

Don't believe what everyone says about West Dubbo too, they're just trying to scare you (most of the bad stuff got cleared out a year or two ago and moved to the other side of town)

See how you go once I stick a sign out the front of your tent saying "Free goon" and an arrow pointing at your tent entrance

Meh, I'll just do the Benny Hill thing and spin the arrow around until it points to someone elses tent.

Or set up a decoy tent for exactly that purpose, filled with tapes of the Goon Show (so the sign can be accurate, but misleading)

Wanna be careful doing that.. The locals might think it's tryouts and you'll flood the tent with 'applicants' instead...

Basically if it's not nailed down, expect it to disappear when you turn your back.

And if it is nailed down, expect to turn around and see someone with a crowbar.

There was a housing estate on the west side of town that had Macquarie Fields-style reputation, plus riots on NYE a few years ago. Housing Dept responded by booting everyone out, closing the estate down and moving every single resident to the other side of town (amongst other places), so most of the bad stuff has gone.
