Hi,

With the new server being commisioned the Board are getting a lot of mail delivery errors each day. These are from people who have changed their email address. When the system cannot deliver the email it dumps the email in the Board email.

Now, I could go through all these failed emails and personally PM each person and ask them to put in the correct email address, but I'm a tad lazy and that's a fair bit of work to check every failed email without having to send the PMs.

So, instead I am dumping a list of people from these failed emails. I hope you see your name here, or maybe you see someone you know name in here, because after a week if we are still being bombarded with bad email addresses I'll have to think of another tact. Maybe personally PM the (hopefully) few that are still wrong, or put them on temp ban. Dunno... let's see if we can clean this up first before I worry about the next step.

Sorry about this.I've been offline for about 12 months and only just started up online again and unfortunately I don't have a current email address at the moment.
Is this going to jeopardise my membership?

hmm ive had the same email address for the last 10 years or so and havent changed it durign that period so i beileve that their maybe another reason why your emails bounce.

Okay, here is the go.....

The people in the above list need to go to User CP, and in the Control Panel on the left hand side you have to go into Edit Email and Password and re-enter your email address.

If you have not changed your email address, please humour me and do it anyway. Naturally, if you have a new email address please put that in.

Post back here when you have done it so I can verify with the stack of failed emails I get to see if indeed it has fixed the problem.

PS: Oh, will failure to correct this problem jeopardise your membership to these forums? Of course not! I'll put you on a temp ban so you'll still be on our database, but it's just that you won't be able to get into the forums.

Please check the original post, where I will update each name as I get details. This is as much to keep a track of who has done something, and for me to use in case changes do not work, so I have a record of what/when was done to give to the tech-heads to sort out.

awwww poor baby... I'll email your concerns onto someone who cares.

Just re-subscribe and let me know when you have. If any failed emails come in after that then we need to get the IT dunderclumps to look at things.

Hey mate,

Mine is fixed.
i too have had the same email for the last 12 years.......
but my hotmail address which was correct, had a "au" added to the end which made it wrong...

Dunno, fixed now.

I've edited my first post to show who has done the changes, and then can check this against the failed emails to see if that fixes it, or if there is something else giving us issues.
