put a charged battery in it before you do anything.
then check that all your fuses are intact and well seated.
then id say the alarm is suspect, although most are wired to not let the car crank at all.

new battery. if that doesn't solve anything, the wires going to the CPS or the ignitor could be dodgy. that was the problem with mine. i don't think it would be the alarm particularly, because it does crank, like elmo said.
