    Mounts pictured are JZA70.

LR-A = Left, Rear sump, A chassis (Supra)
RR-A = Right, Rear sump, A chassis (Supra).

The JZA70 pulsation dampener is smaller and bolts over the top of the engine mount, the JZX81 uses a filter on the side of the block, I haven't checked my JZZ30 engine to see what setup they have but I think its the same as the A70, the JZA80 I can't comment on as I haven't seen one.

It sounds like you're on the right track now to use a JZA70 pulsation dampener along with the JZA70 engine mount alloy brackets and your standard 89+ GA70/MA70/JZA70 rubber insulators so long as you have a 89+ crossmember (the one that comes factory with round oil filled rubber mounts instead of rectangular solid rubber ones) and it will drop straight in.

Apparently I was advertising in my signature, where I just thought I was helping out others... so if you want to know how to get more steering lock in your A70/Z20 Supra/Soarer, you'll just have to search, don't ask me, apparently I'm not allowed to tell you.

The MX83 uses a front sump though, so it uses different positions on the block to mount the alloy brackets.

The JZA80 and JZA70 are both rear sump and afaik they use the same position on the block to mount.

You can see there the correct position for the alloy brackets in an A70/Z20 chassis. The motor on the stand shows the drivers side, the one on the floor shows the passengers side. You can also see the smaller JZA70 pulsation dampener mounted on top of the alloy bracket on the engine on the floor.

thanks loonie...I was planning to ditch the dampner...as apparently its only necessary if you are running a stock pump

As in the pic above, that is how my jza70 engine brackets are on my 2jz. And to clarify the middle R written on the engine brackets means to use the rear bolt holes on the block.
