Hissing sound in Reverse Range.

Hello,

1g-gte, A340E Automatic Transmission.

I dont know if this has been happening always but I have just noticed it now. When I select Reverse I hear a hissing sound that seems to be coming from the Transmission, I can hear it when I stick my head under the car, I thought it was coming from engine bay near Alternator but it seems to be coming from Under the transmission.

Any ideas what this could be?

Belts in the auto trans?

Good suggestion, Although it almost sounds like its coming from the outside, sounds just like a vacuum leak, could it still be the belts?

Its an old car, things go wrong but I fix them.
Most people would ignore problems until they escalate, then have to spend money on costly repairs.
