Car losing traction in wet a lot

For what it's worth my RA65 with modded 1G, good tyres (Falken 452 in very similar sizes to you - 225/45/16 & 205/50/16) and LSD is FAR better in the wet than it was with the 22RE, open-diff, worn 14s, and otherwise same suspension - and A6s are known for being quite light in the rear end.

I would have thought Z2 would be better in this regard - so so it really sounds like tyre or maybe suspension issues.

Grid II's haven't been made in a while have they? While they have 80% tread, how grippy are they, are they old?

age? (if jcmo is right, they sound at least 5 years old - time for new ones)

then when you replace your tyres you get an alignment as well, which will probably tell you you've bent a front control/steering arm or something

Tyres I'd assume! Have they been in the sun lying around or something? My stockies were... and they are on the car at the moment, all it takes is a very careful foot, good thing about that, saves you fuel! GZ20's in mostly stock form in that chassis really feel like torqueless wonders, so I don't get how you're having an issue...

i think the problem is that you dont have enough power with the 1g to heat the tyres up properly.

try upgrading the engine to a jz for maximum fasts so that you can heat the tyres up properly so they will get traction in the wet.

Raise the front...and install drag radials.....

You can also place a brown coloured brick under the accelerator pedal...preventing it going all the way to the metal....

Hello,

This has only happened once before, it was when I was doing skids and smashed into a kerb, when I smashed into the kerb the engine turned off.

This Time I was doing skids in the wet again, but did not hit a kerb.
The engine just turns off without hesitating or jerking.

This is very unusual as I ussually drive my car hard, and has not happened all the other times.

my mistake, that sounds like perfectly sensible driving. I retract my previous statement and applaud your upstanding driving as a shining example for the youth of today
