I doubt it. My celica looses a heap of time if i spin the wheel with gear changes and i only have approx 120rwhp. IMO less traction is a bad thing. I'm also not sure that high traction tyres have much more rolling resistance...
had an interesting thought about smoking up ya tires to get traction off the line at the drags.
In a lower powered vehicle, say ~300hp would the drag caused by hot sticky tires going all the way down the 1/4 outway the benefits of traction off the line???
If that makes sense.....
like would ya be better off struggling off the line instead of aving ya tires sticking to the track all the way down??
obviously drag cars havea shitload more power and MUST have the sticky tires to acheive any good times, but what about street cars???

Compared to drag from air turbulance and straight out frontal area resistance i doubt rolling resistance is a major factor. Tyres 'work' to get traction so unless they are being stressed into delivering traction they are just rolling along...they don't just stick to the track.

R.I.P.
hot sticky street tyres are very different to the hot sticky tyres used by say.. top fuel or funny car or whatever...
much less chemical traction with street/low end drag tyres..
