265rwkw with no gas on pump fuel.

NOT running steel wheel turbos. have seen 30psi out of them with no dramas, have never blown a set of turbos, a free flowing exhaust is the key.

Unless you are running nitrous the headwork wont do that much for you.

Thats a mx83 cressida with no backseat weighing 1365kg without driver.

does run an auto though. Dieseltrains car would be alot more comparable to yours.

i would say that with the manual it should make a good 250kw+ and if you want to push it you could probably get 270kw out of it.

Also has alot to do with who tunes it. both I and Dieseltrains cars are tuned by Yavuz at Unigroup engineereing in girraween. and they are the 2 quickest stock turbo 1jz cars in the world.

Boost, because of the 3.5" system and twin dumps should not be a problem to make because there is not much back pressure with that exhaust setup.

been running our setup for 3 years, never blown a turbo, but have blown an engine because we ask our tuner to go ballistic. run 18-20psi on the street and it is daily driven by my brother.

should have no trouble making 250+ at the wheels.

i reckon my setup should have enough of both for what i need... im not interested in drag racing the car though, coz i know with the suspension i put in it, ill have fuck all chance of a good launch...

if its a honest dyno, youve probably set a record with this figure as i dont know anyone thats managed to pump that kinda power from stock twins on pump fuel...

I reckon the 1j has great torque! I popped a cooler pipe off yesterday and was putting around back home without it on, pulled well...

WIthout boost though, it doesnt make any power

Yavuz' dyno is used as a tuning tool not a "make people happy" dyno.

no i havent owned one with a running 1j in it...

but i have driven... a jza70 auto and manual... my cousins jzz30 on numerous occasions...

as far as i know, each of those cars had running 1j's in em....

compared to the feel my 7m had.... compared to the feel of a 2j etc...

i do like the feel of the 1j overall though...... from the ones i drove i loved em... especially the single turbo ones... not a fan of the twins unfortunately...

Any 2.5 litre TURBO motor runing runing lower comp than a NA motor is going to feel less torquey down low, but with a 1J if you leave it all stockish & still with the factory twins i personally beleive from experience they are great & torquey down low ..

you could get that on pump, just depends on how much work you do. cams with gears will help and i don't think Kade or Daniel have them in their engines.
