    Default Cooler piping in Canberra

Hi Guys, got my 1j into the cressida but still haven't fitted my cooler.
Can anyone suggest a reliable shop in canberra to fit the cooler and pipe it all up for me?

I'll be interested to hear if they still do as I heard not long ago they weren't going to do that work anymore and sold all there aluminium pipe stock.

While Ben was away from Phillip Radiators they were recommending all pipe work and aluminium work to a place in Fyshwick called ?????? The name escapes me but its in the building behind the Gull service station on Canberra Ave.

The place in Fyshwick was ok, not as good as Bens work though. They can do what you are after though. Just check some of the work before hand and see if you're happy with it.

I have used City Exhaust before, wernt bad but wernt great, just middle of the range. Charge a bit more than middle of the range though.

Spoke to Fyshwick Exhaust over the phone, they were reasonably helpful and welcomed me to take the car over for them to have a look at what they needed to do, then they'd give me a quote on cost and timeframes, seemd pretty easy to get along with.

I've also been told to look into a place called ESP - anyone got contact details? I've search the forum and the white pages with no luck...

ESP unfortunately don't do that sort of stuff in-house.

Fyshwick Exhaust i heartily reccommend... Neil is a no-bullshit champion, takes pride in his work and the work that comes out of the shop, and knows what craftsmanship is.

My plan is to get a list of 2 or 3 who sound helpful go visit and look at thier work, then pick based on that, cost isn't a major consideration, after having a few bad experiences I'd rather get it done right the first time, but at the same time I don't want to get ripped a new a-hole in the process.

I assumed you are after aluminium pipe work but now that I re-read the thread I can't see any mention of what material you plan to use?

I had Eddy go to a Phillip Radiators, reccommended to me by someone on here.

It was for intercooler piping, we had been speculated it could be as much as 1k or as cheap as $700 ($700 for linden - excellent quality work guaranteed)

The guy in Phillip was awesome and said that if he could rotate Eddy's turbo it'd be $500 and only slightly more if he could not rotate the turbo etc

Eddy was very happy with the way he was dealt with, an unusual outcome for the poor masive baby pants.

How long ago Tom? (just to see if what I heard about them getting out of that IC pipework and aluminium fab work was BS).

They do damn tidy work so it'd be a shame if they stopped.

I visited a shop today and saw some good work, but again the issue with them is being able to get the car in anytime soon

My only problem with going to Sydney is getting someone who can do the work on a weekend (and in one weekend) as I would need to travel from canberra.

Oh and no concern over materials really, as long as it looks neat I'm happy.

    Shane;
this would have been a month back maybe.

Eddy's the type of guy who'll inquire about the cost of intercooler piping then contemplate selling the vehicle when a saprk plug lead comes off. Well, not that bad but he's pretty gay.

I'm selling him the swift once my cars back cos Ro wants an automatic sheetbox.

Fiver: Just send Linden photo's, he can figure it out? (dont do this or ask)
