Check, and then upgrade your engine to chassis ground.
righto, we are pretty sure the timing is fine (our reasoning is that the engine went hard before conversion)
but here is an interesting fact... i had the RACQ guy come around to jump start the car (flat battery) and whilst he was here i got to test my motor with an array of shit he had.
he had this light that you clip onto the injector plug on the loom... and when you crank it (still jump started to racq car) the light pulses, showing power to injectors.
but here is the catch, the light was only coming up Dim. not fully bright. this shows that there isnt getting the required voltage to the injectors (ie: injectors are getting less then 12v)
this would explain the rev problem im having, but does anyone know what would cause this?!
Check, and then upgrade your engine to chassis ground.
yeah i agree i'd check grounds in the first instance
That would be page 4-15 of abovementioned manual.
does anyone know where the injectors ground themselves from? (obviously) there are two wires going to an injector, im assuming one has 12v, and the other gets earthed....
does anyone have an idea where i could find these wires?
i thought they were earthed through the ECU, as in constant 12v but switched ground.

thats what i thought too, so how would i check the earthing points?
So did you end up fixing your problem dude ? i am having similar issues
