Does anyone know what the 4 parts are thats in the first
picture actually I have 6 and does any Crown owner want
the tappet cover seal for there 4M engine. Its brand new,
it looks as if it presses into a slot instead of going over the
U shaped edge on my 4MU engine, send me a message and I can post it to you.

Well then the gasket set I have is for a 03/78 - 09/79 Crown so maybe
the 4M engines are all the same, I now think I have a 4M engine with a
latter model unleaded 4MU head fitted. Send me a message with your
address and I'll post you the tappet cover gasket.
What model Crown do you have and please include a picture with the message.

Hey Dave I just looked at my previous message and I stated the engine number is 4M 0137260 nothing about 015 or 016 so maybe 013 means 1973 so the 4M block is from a 1973 Crown fitted with a 4MU head.
I see on your profile you have a MS123 I to have one with a 5MGE engine and transmission both these will be fitted to our 75 Crown after a rebuild.
The original engine from the 75 Cown has an engine number 4M012 so that would make it a 1972 engine, I have the original purchase paperwork from when The Crown was first purchased back in early 76 and it states the 012 engine number so what did Toyota use some of the earlier engines in the 75 -Crowns.
they are valve stem seals
