FYI, Use a nylon brush attachment, not a wire one. The wire will scar the pullies. They nylon will eventually but so quick or as deep.

where do you buy nylon brushes? Do they mount in drill/die grinder?

Bunnings have em. By jostik IIRC, they come in three grads of 'grit' something to the effect of 80, 120, 180. Cost about $12. You mount into your drill the same way as a wire brush. IE its a wheel with nylon fibres poking out instead of wire and has a metal pole through its axis which you just stick in your drills chuck.

I use it instead of a wire wheel for polishing as the wire wheel often does as much damages as it removes

Brass brushes are quite soft also. Soft enough to not even scratch your hand.
