does an apexi SAFC actually make your fuel economy better

the SAFC can tune your Air Fuel map so power delivery is ironed out and "smooth" i.e. linearly so if you believe that you drive with less throttle because your car makes more power, then yea there is savings to be made..

for me, on my car dyno tuned with a very linear air fuel map and power delivery, i'd say i save SFA... it's about as good as getting a fuel star.. if you believe it works, then yea it probably does

the SAFC is only affective when the car is in open loop mode, ie 90% + WOT. At cruising speeds + light loads the car is tuned by the O2 sensor and the factory closed loop.

In short, it will save you 2/5 of fk all at WOT and nothing anywhere else.

Yes in conjunction with exhaust/boost/cooler as it allows you to lean out the top end/high rpm rather than running really rich which of course increase power.

as to an exact kw or hp increase that depends on your mods.

Highway driving sure... but around the city, esp in traffic, ECUs run in open loop a lot more.
A good tune would then save a few $$s in fuel.

werd. they do make a difference. i have a zoom where they tested it on a JZA70, ended up going from 155rwkw to 173rwkw from just the SAFC. they did admit they were freak results and in that power range 10rwkw isnt asking to much
