Damo, I've received the OST prize money.

Want to PM me with your bank details (just in case they've changed since last time I sent you money)?

Also, as above, do you want me to organise names on the OST trophy?

Yeah, the trophies are pretty impressive - especially the OST one.

Might be a good idea to use some of the prize money to put the names of the people who participated this year on the trophy as it's blank at the moment?
We were talking about the point system on the Saturday and basically if you win events thats get you the most points (as opposed to 1 point for entering). So because our club members took out most of the higher positions in all the other events it means when you guys won your events it gave you enough points for 3rd because there were no other clubs nor events (aside from burnout comp) to even take to come close, confused?? haha

Anyway SO again big applause to you guys because without you, you wouldn't have taken 3rd spot!

Cool Re: OST @ Motorvation '09

Thanks Wayno. Although I'm a little confused by your explanation

The club that came first was All Fours and Rotaries, followed by Perth WRX and then OST.

By "our club" and "your club" who are you talking about? All Fours and Rotaries and OST? I don't remember who you were entered with this year.

With the number of clubs and cars entered in events, I don't think it was just a case of us showing up though. They'd be enough "competition" to earn points I would think. So, I think we earned our place, with virtually everyone in multiple events, and good placings. I don't know how they actually allocate points beyond that though.

What I would like to see, just for interest sake, is a full result list where you can see how you went overall. Just seeing winners and runners-up, especially when you're neither doesn't give you an idea of how you went. I'd like to see how well/poorly I did in each event, even if finishing down the list.

But alas, I don't run the event or post results

    Steve,

We'll have to tee-up a time to hand-over your trophy. Are you going to the Dyno or Drag night?

After painting the engine bay of my Soarer black, and having a black engine bay in my Supra, I'd honestly never get a black engine bay again.
It makes the engine bay look more cluttered and messy, even when its not, and it makes the engine look smaller and less impressive.

White is the best colour to make things stand out, but its boring.

I'm going for a nice light(ish) silver on my next spray job.

cool, I was thinking of respraying my engine bay when I rebuild my motor... looks like I'll just stick with factory white

You may be right but i think I am over white. Its such a plain colour. I have a silver 4wd and I am over that colour, If the engine bay is tidied up as far as wiring and clutter and has plenty of shiny parts it should look ok in black. i dont want red and i dont want blue and I dont want green.

Black can look good, but it will be hard work.

If I wasn't going red, I'd go either yellow (Mazda metallic yellow is hot), white or blue.
