Yeah, that sucks. Especially given a couple of our guys withdrew and asked for replacements. That kind of debunks the "maximum number of entrants" argument. Unless they've given Rudi and Damo's place to someone else.

I reckon I'm just about not interested in entering in future if it's this hard to get a decent club showing.

If the bays allocated to ost are side by side the two bays that were the withdrawls will be next to them so it will be easy to tell who got a late entry.
Steve has kindly offered me his buddy pass for the weekend otherwise i would not have bothered going down.
i still think its strange that they state how they chose the entrants, It may be either Uniqueness, colour, wow factor, and events entered.
Then in the sorry email they said that yes my car is unique but all the positions have been filled.
Seems like I had ticks in the unique catagory and I had entered the driving events that was not enough.

For what it's worth, which is probably nothing, I've sent an email off to Stephanie highlighting my thoughts on how things sit. It will probably make no difference, but at least they'll be aware that, I for one, aren't happy.

My thoughts exactly Gene. Do they want clubs to enter events or not? Do they want what they say are the reasons for letting cars in? or is it just a crock.

Seems like OST has been relegated to the place where most people dont normaly bother to go to. Right near the sound boys , DOOF DOOF all day.

hmmm, sucks major, ill be heading down to check it out with mates, problem is that people enter shit-box cars to tow around their ride, which means there is less space for everyone else!!!!

still, not being selected coz your a small block NA is ghey.....turbo or 20's is they way it seems it is going!

Has anyone organised shade, etc. for the weekend? Or shall we start getting organised now?

Looks like we've been stuck right up the top with some individual entries, and large Commodore/Falcon clubs. Think this will be the last time I enter this one, unless Toyotas start getting a decent display area to put on a good show.

If you listen to the ads for Motorvation you'll here these words. "street machine, hot rod and custom cars"

Now personally, I don't think there are many cars in OST that fit this description (infact, to be honest I don't think of many Japanese cars in general fitting this description), so I'd just assume they'd be basing their choice on that.

Granted at this stage its probably the best car show we have here (for us to enter that is), its just unfortunate that its run by bogans, for bogans.
