Steering rack, steering rack bushes or even the PS pump.
So there is a problem with the steering in my Cressida. When I turn left or right it makes a grinding noise and there is a bit of play. I have been searching the forum a fair bit and a leaking steering rack seems to be a common thing but my power steering fluid is still on max and hasn’t gone down at all so it really has me puzzled to what it could be. There is also a squeaky noise in the suspension that I guess would be the rubber bushes, could that have anything to do with it.

Perhaps a worn wheel bearing. Jack the car up and spin the wheel and see if it makes grinding noises and/or has play. Play can also come from worn suspension components.

The squeaky noise is it when you go over speed bumps? if so it will be your front caster bushes.
Does the grinding noise start at full lock or just with normal driving?
I just had a go with the grease gun and put some graphite grease in all of the bushes and it has stopped all of the noises. There is still a bit of play in the steering but I cant remember if it was always like that. I will soon be replacing them all with polyurethane bushes anyway.
