while not the identical unit.. the one from a 4M, 5ME will work.
Grind about 6mm off the end and round it before installing.
It works great, and doesn't have the oil leak problem of the orignal.

If you have trouble locating one, shoot me a PM and I can get you one.

For the timing you'll need a RG/TG timing tool to be spot on. but as a general eyeball
timing have the #1 intake lobe at 9-O'clock and #1 exhaust lobe at 3-O'clock.

Is yours the 3 bolt style cams or the single bolt and pin style?

BGB shows both crank and pump drive shaft at 12 o'clock on both keyways.
cranks gear timing mark at 6-o'clock.
pump shaft timing mark at just before 12 o'clock (timing mark looks to be about 1.5 teeth
to the left of 12,( @ 11 o'clock is to far)).

2nd gear on pump shaft shows at 6 o'clock timing mark.
    torque is 6-7kg-m.

damn scanner is nackered atmo. or i would just post a scan.

lilcrash - you can buy the setup brand new... the bottom chain setup is IDENTICAL to an 18R-C, so just buy an 18RC timing chain kit and it will have what you need.

The last one I bought cost me $15 on ebay

here ya go - this guy has one... you want the LATE 18R timing chain kit, someone asks about it in the questions below this listing.

that kit is for an 18RC... so the top chain is totally different. But it will have all the bottom chain stuff you need for an 18RG.

The chain guide between the camshafts IS the same as the 3T-GTE one, and is still available from Toyota.

sorry to sound rude but that didnt answer my question. the only parts i dont have brand new are the tensioner guide. (bent one with the thing on the back for the tensioner to push on) and the chains

the bent one in an 18rc is a bit different to the rg one (the one the tensioner pushes onto)
i can't rememebr if the 18rc one had more or less of a curve to it though. i think river posted the pictures to the 18r assembly which might have pictures of the 2 in it (try the FAQ section first before searching, you might get lucky)
steveM said he used an 18rc one (aftermarket pressed one as i think the oem one is a cast piece) and bent it (slowly) to match the shape of the 18rg (again this is memeory from reading threads about this over the various years and my memory aint what it was like a couple of years ago)

and yes 4m and 5m tensioners work, i had one in mine at one stage

well your first two posts are contradictory.... firstly you say you needed the slipper chain guide that is tensioned by the no.2 chain tensioner (for upper chain, intake side).... then in your next post you say you are talking about the lower chain...

    ... hence the confusion.

Apparently you can take the 18RC slipper chain tensioner guide and "bend" it into shape to suit the 18RG setup. I think SteveM did this.
