thanks for that Toyman.
It has been some time since anyone wrote on this thread but I do not want to open a new thread to try to keep all the info gathered in certain places so I decided to put my question here:
I am trying to build a low budget 2tg/3tc hybrid engine with a compression ratio between 10 to 10,5:1 at most, that will be used not for racing but for weekend rides. Till now I gathered all the parts i need (a 2tg engine and a 3tc crank) except pistons. After a research i did on the net (in my country there are no pistons available for 3tc engines, cause this engine was not even imported) i found the following pistons:
Wiseco pistons (550$+shipping), over my budget
Arias pistons (550$+shipping), over my budget.
Sealed Power Z12174P150MM cast pistons (150$+shipping) (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SLP-12174P1-50MM/)
I know few people here have built 3tc/2tg hybrids so I would like to ask your experience / advice / opinion about which pistons to use or if you have any other brand to suggest me.
Cheers Augmon
