i just got mine fixed for $55 from precision electronics in W.A.

last dude to wire it up thought the green and yellow wire were +12v and earth :S

the guy that fixed it said it was a impressive little bit of kit. he loves japanese electronics and admired the programmable chip on there.

he even tested it was working on his test bench which i thought was cool.

ive actually got a problem with mine now that its installed... hoping someone else has installed one on a 1j and can help me.

we hooked it up according to the instructions, the unit almost does everything right. it powers up and detects the correct rpm but when the cut is initiated the computer picks up on the event and the motor goes into limp mode for a brief second. so yes it cuts the ignition at the correct rpm but instead of it repeatedly cutting, it cuts once then the motor stalls almost completely and then it will rev and repeat that process.

we know we have power, earth, c.a.s and the clutch cable hooked up right, but im guessing theres something wrong with the ignition signal we used.

got mine fitted up but doesnt seem to run properly...and how would u "shield" ur connections? the unit doesnt seem to cut properly and i cant rev past 5-6 grand even when i set the cut alot higher... possibly bad connections? as i have SAFC + SLD wiried up so they are sharing a few connections

    welcome to the club.

did you follow this guide to wire it up? ...everyone i know has and they are all having the same problem so maybe its the guide?

this diagram is off the japanese bee*r website, i think its the same as this guide thought.

mmm yeh followed the guide.... yeh possibly i wonder if its maybe it needs a more accurate/clean ignition signal from sumwhere else instead of the crank sensor? my unit just doesnt seem to run like it should...

doesnt the 1JZGTE like the 1G ECU have 2 PINS for RPM?? when i wired up my mates SAFC in JZA70 Supra we connected like the APEXI diagram and wired it to RPM1 which gave out an RPM, but for example stock gauge shows IDLE of 700rpm and SAFC was showing 3200rpm....we then switched to RPM 2 and it was ok......maybe trying switching the wires to differant RPM wire???

    RPM 1 AND RPM 2

according to that japenese BeeR diagram you currently would have it at RPM SIGNAL 1 I would try RPM SIGNAL 2

check my dogey diagram copied for SAFC 2 install

hmmmzzz might try that....thing is my Bee*R shares the same ign signal wire with the SAFC and the safc shows correct RPM :S

dude you are not alone I have one on my JZA70 with the stock ecu
I does work on the launch control part but it was cutting the revs at 6500rpm no mater how high I set the rev limit
to get around this so far I have installed a soft switch in my center console so I can use the launch control and have the stock rev cut works great now my other prob is I have a power FC and it doesnt work with that FFS
somthing to do with the FC has some grounding issue that I cant find any more info about
this site is the closest I have come to a solution http://www.skyline-owners-club.com/f...-power-fc.html
looking at the ECU pin outs X24 is the ground but there is X26 and X13 that are earth, manafold
I am thinking of trying the power FC on X26 or X13 any thoughts

hmmzzz i think connecting the FC to a different ground might upset how it reads the sensors( i think they use the same "ground") has anyone tried wiring the Bee*R black wire straight to chassis? coz i think what happens (just a theory) when the Bee*R cuts ign it sends the ignition signal(+12V i assume) thru ground thus effectively ground isnt ground anymore as it has a positive charge.

what do u think of my thesis?
