    Default 3sgte st185 knock sensor error 52

    okay after replacing the fixed cel wire =) i got error code 52..any help where the knk sensor is located..?? or how to fix

    back of the block underneath the inlet manifold.

    Best way to get to it is to jack the driver side front up, take the wheel off and reach through the hole for the steering shaft, can reach it easy through there and get a socket onto it to remove it if need be.

    Still tricky cause you can't see that well, but easy enough to reach

    what size was yours a 22mm just didnt fit

    has been ordered directly from toyota, but this was the old one, was much nbigger than 22mm, id guess 24-25

    would the knock sensor cause the hesitation at low rpm and mis fire? cause all the ig bar distributer has been replaced, and ecu is sending code 52

    if the knock sensor is falsely detecting detonation, then it would be confusing the ECU which responds by modifying the ignition timing... so yes, technically its possible to cause those symptoms.

    Check the wiring first though! Also check its firmly in place and torqued up.

    okay new sensor in, still had flat spot, got mechanic neighbour to suss it, put his hand over the airfilter and it had no flat spot
