Actually may be advantageous as it will dump fuel in and cool everything down.

could also be a disadvantage as the fuel could wash the bores clean of oil
    hence no lubrication

if oil gets past the rings and into your combustion cycle your engine already has issues!

theres always a thin film of oil on your cylinder bores for your rings to slide up and down against... how bout we stop the skeptisism until someone actually has a motor fail on them. Then you can talk "what if or when and how" all you like.

plenty have failed due to normal rev limiters. Why would the bee r be any better?.....lol

Using the rev limiter freqeuntly is no good no matter what the type.. More so for the valve train.

Proven this by bending 1 exhaust valve on a 600hp GTR with tomei springs etc..... Hit the limiter at high speeds tho....

Yes there is a film on the bores. however its mostly remains below the rings.

If the fuel is washing the bores the fuel is getting past the rings and washing what oil is below the rings and around the ring lands. Its got to be very fucking PHAT to do that. I know this because of first hand experience with methanol engines that use around 60 litres of fuel in a few minutes.
Its very uncommon on a unleaded fuel engine to wash the bore badly over short km's. Prolonged excessivly rich mixtures for a few thousand km's may show signs of greater bore wear. e.g. if you have phat mixtures under boost for short spirts it will have fuck all affect on your bore life but if its phat all the time like if your injector was fucked then yes it will wear your bore much more quickly.

Ohk bump this thread back up.

im having troubles with my Bee*R

Well it does work but only when REV1 is on 0 = 2500rpm. when i set it on others such as 1 = 3000rpm it dosnt work. GAIN is always on 1 and when i try setting it on other numbers and letters it dosnt work only works when REV1 is on 0 = 2500rpm.

Anyone know what could be causing this?

    anyhelp much appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Heng

heng the little grey wire on the side of the rev limiter...have you made sure thats connected properly?

the limiter was off an SR20 and you need to cut it for a 4cyl...

ive got another one here you are welcome to borrow to test if you like
