Default 4a piston to head clearence

I would like to know what the minimum piston to head clearence would be for something like a stock 20V engine or simular.

I would of thought it would be 0.75mm but some people are running 0.5mm head gaskets and as far as I know the piston to deck clearence is virtualy zero. I want to know how they get away with it.

0.75mm or 0.030" is good for squish gap.

thats exactly what I thought Bill, I was just udner the impression that a 0.5mm clearence would cause the piston to hit the head

It might not, but it's too close for me to be comfortable.

Same here. I believe TRD only got away with it because they were using Forged rods and Pistons (Super lightweight) + limited RPM.
Rep points are for those who feel inadequate in other areas !

I am not talking about trd though, I am talking about guys who want a cheap power boost so they chuck a 0.5mm trd gasket in and use it that way. Unless by the chance the engines they have done it on actually have a piston to deck clearence thats higher than what I have seen.
