If you don't need adjustable base pressure (ie to compensate for incorrectly matched injectors or lack of tunability), only plan on running less than 25psi (normal limit of pump fuel), don't really want to spend 5 or 6 times more than absolutely necessary and don't need the bling, then have you considered OEM FPRs (1:1 linear) from Toyota's more recent GTE engines?
I've never had reliability or performance issues with factory 1JZ-GTE or 2JZ-GTE FPRs running over 300rwkw and up to 25psi of boost over 5 years.
I've never had cause to remove any factory FPRs for the spare Sard Type RJ sitting on my shelf for years now, nor have I heard of any others having issues.
If you do want to use an OEM one and get stuck finding one, PM me as I've a few spare JZ ones in the shed.

    Terraopperative,

What makes you think you need a new FPR ??? The factory Item you have is a stable, reliable, high quaity boost referenced fuel pressure regulator. It is perfect for the application and suits your engine regardless what power level you produce. Only in an off its head application where the physical flow volume of the reg becomes restrictive would it need to be changed and I don't see any 4AGZE ever getting to that.

If your new head work and further development develops a power level that excedes the limit of your factory injectors then fit bigger injectors, don't do the dodgy and up the fuel pressure.

If your after the bling factor and look of an aftermarket reg then by all means get one, and yes the Sard reg is the brand of choice.

As long as you have a manifold referenced regulator on the motor already (and being a 4agze I'd assume it does), there is no need to change to an aftermarket unit. The OEM unit will do fine, and RR regs can make tuning a PITA.

As an example, on my 500+rwkw setup I had two fuel rails and two stock regulators. Size the injectors correctly and there is no reason to change. As mentioned before, the only time to change is when you exceed the flow capability of the stock reg, and that's a much bigger number than you are likely to make at a guess.

Save your cash and put it toward injectors and fuel pump.
