Well guys I can verify that the circuit Wilbo put up there works 100% she purrs like a kitten. Well actually the GT35 sucks like a mad banshee....scary crap, and thats at idle.

I used a 2.2k resistor, and 6 1N914 diodes. So you don't need the fancy RC circuit for a 1JZ ecu (non vvti).

I know I try to always do feedback, very important. I searched heaps on the web for this info and didn't find it. So thought I would make sure people know it works!

Also comes up first in google when you search for 'LS2 coils' in google which I just found out. Trying to find some more for a mate. I have two spare from the V8 I got these off.

LS2 coils are similiar to LS1 coils, but slightly different. Same concept, different shape.

i know im dragging up an old post but ive just installed the ls2 coils into my 1jz and im having the same issues. i made up one of the igt to igf signal circuits and will install it tonight as the instructions but i was wondering if i only need to do it to the igt1 signal wire or all 6 of the igt wires and link them all back to a single return igf line to the ecu??

yes you do need to link all the outputs to single igf. Otherwise ECU would detect misfire and cut off fuel.
btw, could you repost the circuit diagram in this thread? The url posted by Wilbo doesn't seem to be alive

    Thanks!

I definitely seen this circuit before. I was only confused with your post of 15-05-2008, 10:20 AM #16

you see, it says "RC circuit" while your diagram doesn't show a single cap. So I thought maybe there's some another circuit around.

Aye there was another diagram, but I can't remember what it was. This one definately works with those parts though. Damn those coils can spark...

Have you got a pic of how the coils are mounted?

Are they COP with custom brakets? OR mounted on the inlet/firewall with short HT leads??

I bent a piece of bar and mounted the coils on this. I then welded another bar that I mounted on the rear holes of the valley cover. Then fed the leads through the back and wired them up. Make sure the bar is thick enough there is a bit of vibration that eventually will weaken it if not at least 3-4mm thick.

Wizzard, what igniter is used to fire them? How did you know they're better than stock coils?
