    You did pull the split pin out first didnt you?

    The nut should look like a castle and should be on the end of a ball joint, and have a split pin running through it.
    Is the balljoint turning? If so, hammer may work, but be carefull of the thread. Use another nut loosely threaded to bash on.

    yes i took the split pins out. its been raining all week cant get out there to try the breaker bar

    hahaha

    Maybe on a 30 year old corona they will shear - Ive only ever seen them deform and lock the bolt good and tight. Getting them out after that is a real bitch.

    Try to tighten it up a little first and then try and undo it.

    I love that feeling when the split pin just sheers, sorta fells like its made of cheese or something.

    If you are using a ring spanner you can always use another spanner the next size up, slip it over the 'c' end of the spanner you have on the nut/bolt head to make an extention.
