If it has no turbo maybe not, just talk to the engineer to find out whats required.Modified seats, steering wheels , all need to be done these days in Canberra if you have more than 3 mods together.

Talk to the DOT (department of transport).
They will tell you what needs to be done.
Only talk to (=pay) a registered engineer if they tell you you'll need one.

The engineer will be a better source of information. Just call one and ask. Don't be too specific. Just say you have a 1.6L 4Cyl in a 900KG sedan or what ever the weight type are. He should be able to give you a general answer. You'll have to see an engineer at some stage to get an engineers report done on the car.
Petrol is for washing parts, alcohol's for drinking but NITRO IS FOR RACING!
