Hey guys, it was a fun day for sure.

Good to meet up with a few new people and talk shit.

Also big ups for the hot laps, Linden and Matt.

Lindens thrasher, drive it like he stole it style was excellent and a barrel of laughs

Matt's IS was fantastic and confirms how much i love that car

And Blake......well he thought his 1G had VTEC so spun that engine to eleventy billon rpm - awesome stuff!

Good day, shame about the offs and the bent M3

Will be sure to attend the next one

Thanks guys, good to have you all along to help make the day what it is. I think almost everybody was suprised to have more fun in the wet than they expected to. Just about the wettest day i can think of we've done, we've had heavier rain but only for part of a day, this just rained on and off all day.

Was a shame to see bent metal but in the end given the number of offs and just how little grip you had once you went i think we could easily have seen a few more! I think there's probably a few decent clips on damo's video camera, haven't had a chance to look yet, and will ask him to put that session on a cd for you greg.

The pelican was fun as always, once we eventually got the fire lit. I think we've invented a new fire retardant material - SuperCardboard! Apologies though to anybody who's peaceful slumber was interrupted by those drunken idiots...

    14/10kg is plenty high enough!

I just don't ramp the shocks up too much or she gets very skittish on the couple of bumpy bits, for no perceivable gain anywhere elkse

Thanks again for another good day.

Pitty about the extra cost of having to buy a WP Licence, suppose I will have to go up more often for drive days now that I have one.

I really enjoyed it. I am pleased my Celica handles just as predictably as it does in the dry. Balance is the same. I found I was braking and applying the same amount of throttle in all the same places but of course at 10-15mph slower. Only really used third gear, 7500 rpm on the main straight found it pulled ok.

I Just did not enjoy the quick end to my running after dropping the exhaust. I suppose for a set of extractors that spent most of their life rusting from the inside what did I expect. I managed a very noisy drive back to Canberra, into Phillip and got a tempory weld done at around 4:30pm.

Also finally have a handle on why my brakes have been binding on. Not only is the mounting bracket not parallel to the rotor, there is a slight (1 to 2 degree) twist back out of perpendicular in the brackets, making the pad contact top on the outside and bottom on the inside of the rotor.

I now will read the forum closely for the next event.

    Regards

    Rodger

I have damo's camera still, so you'll all have to wait till post beer and schnitzel, then his editing/uploading time.

I can confirm though that you did point the camera at the floor just as it broke loose on me up the back straight. And greg, you look like you meant to back it off the end of the straight.
