Default Advice on taking off 2tg head

    Hey guys,
im taking the head off my 2tg for the first time as im going to get it ported, just got a few q's.
I have taken off the carbs/inlet manifold, exhaust manifold, taken out dizzy and taken off cam cover, all in conjuction with the haynes manual. Now what do i do from here?
The haynes manual says to remove the cam bolts from the front of them, pull the sprockets and chain (still meshed) off and leave it resting on one of the chain slippers, remove the cylinder head to timing chain cover bolt then remove cylinder head bolts and wiggle off the head.
Now i had alook at my other manual, the "Toyota T series engine repair manual" and it shows that i need to remove the no.2 chain tensioner, remove the upper chain slipper, remove the oil nozzle and then the no.3 chain slipper.
Which one is correct or if neither would someone be able to tell me the next couple of steps i need to do to get the head off?
Do i also need to drain all the coolant from the block before i take the head off? If so where abouts is the bolt located as the haynes manual states its on the drivers side of the block which it aint.
Also it may seem like a stupid question but i want to be sure, do i need to take the cams/valves/springs ect off the head when i go to get it ported or can i leave all that on there?
    Thanks in advance, Joey

    - drain coolant (block drain plug/bolt is on the passengers side near a welsh plug you can't miss it) it's funny how you mentioned you removed the inlet manifold without draining the coolant because the manifold has coolant reservoirs for heating the manifold =P and it should have poured out.
    - disconnect radiator hoses, thermostat housing
    - loosen the timing chain tensioner (the one with the nut on the end)
    - cam sprocket assembly and slipper in between the 2
    - fold upper timing chain neatly down where the idle shaft/dummy shaft is so when you lift the head it won't get caught up on anything.
    - camshaft caps then remove the camshafts
    - there are 2 (12mm socket) nuts/bolts you need to remove on the lower front of the head
    - head studs

you can leave the valve assembly in the head, they will remove it when porting.

    good luck!
