i can't see why a crimp connection should be any problem? screw down terminal connector will be bulky![]()

The other thing you can do is grab a pack of mini-crimp spade terminals at DSE. Like these but the mini versions:

And then just cut off the spade bit. This leaves a nice crimpable part which you can use for crimping wires. Just remember to heatshrink over the eventual join.
In the race car i use one of these on every join as well as soldering it and then heatshrink over the top.
