Nope, I will eventually, it's the one I plan on getting down the track. From memory, yes, it is more expensive than the common Bosch one, but it's still reasonably priced compared to your average Turbosmart or GFB one, and it's not as if you'd buy it from Porsche, just as a Bosch product.

That the way it was set up when I got it. was 20 year old blow through webber setup
Am in the process of installing new 4AG20v bodies to the manifolds.
The quad give the car better torque down low when off boost, making it more street-able to drive around. The plenum has been made to a set size as well which is supposed to help or so.
Can not take pick at the moment as above the thing is in bits so all I have is the old weber manifold, the new quads and the plenum, which are scatted between home, work and the workshop at my parents place.

what are you talking about shit quality?
i've been running a GFB bov on my wrx at 19psi for nearly 5 years now without a single problem. and my mate has been running a turbosmart for the same time without problems.

turbosmart products are designed and made in australia. sydney in fact. i should know, the guy who designed half the stuff is sitting right next to me. and if you have seen where they make it and how they do it, you'd realise that there just as good if not better than the jap brands and would stop talkin crap.

IF THEY WERE SO SH!T THEN WHAT ARE THEY DOING ON 6 SEC., 1200HP+ DRAG CARS???

45aken: I only heard one person shitcan the turbosmarts and GFBs, I think everyone else would be quite happy to run one.

The two reasons I run a bosch personally is price and the fact that it doesn't go f*cken whooooooosh. If I wanted to sound like a d1ckhead, I'd yell something out the window =)

If you like the sound, plan on running more boost than the OEM application or just want something to dress up your engine bay, then go one of the name brands. Otherwise, save your bucks for something else IMHO.

The turbos*mart was a nuisance for me i didnt buy it, it came with the car.
I had no choice and all It did was cuase nothing but trouble for me no matter how you tightened the direction the spring would always come loose.

It would drop the revs, stall the car, make it really jerky and run mega rich. Thus again I say my product was faulty so in my opinion it was shit compared to the Hks I had tried later on. Oh and yes I had also taken the turbosmart to get fixed/looked at by 4 other workshops it was a faulty product it kept comming lose so it was very poor indeed.

Also other users with the same BOV in different cars have proven to be the same. Maybe it was a bad batch? But we'll all ditched them

I've now gone back to stock plumback stop stop issues with my overly sensitive AFM.

I never wanted a BOV as its place rice. so if that last post was directed at me here's my full story. I had tested and tried it to make my conclusion that it was a shit product and my bad luck. Its just my opinion and experience so dont cry a river. not everything for everyone or works for everything either

    like....

you might want to read about BOV's on performance forums also.. just a second opinion or 5..
(grr, PF is down.. will link later... basic idea is that BOV is not usually actually needed...)

They can be used to REDUCE noise though, if they are set up right. I like the idea of reducing the noise a little - very sick of that high pitched cha-cha-cha, would much rather a quiet little chuff...
