BOV which is best?

if you truly believe that it doesn't cause any difference, then why did car companies spend lots of $$ researching and engineering these products?

Car manufacturors don't spend the money, they'd pay a fee to either the people owning the patents or to the aftermarket supplier to fit it. For the reasons that have been outlined above.
And why do the aftermarket suppliers make BOVs to make different sorts of noises and market them in a way to make you feel that you need their $500 version.......*in song* whoah, must be the money.

I think it's one of the cleverest pieces of marketing, build something great (be it drag racing / drifting / whatever), put on some expensive superfluous kit, and watch everyone flock to buy it.

And why did I spend money on one? because my engine (from a ST185) also featured no bov from factory, but the bov I installed now makes it whisper quiet. A good condition turbo, plumback bov, and factory air box / intake track and I reckon most people couldn't tell my car was turbo when I zip past.

Ahhh I see... It never really occurred to me that the sound of an un-blow off valved standard car would really be too noisy and crude for most. Certainly does make you wonder about the need for a big shiny name brand one.. So on that note I’ll defiantly going with a bosch one now lol.
