Wouldn't it just be a case of taking the centre out and putting the LSD centre in?

I don't really know to much about diffs cos i have a diff person that does all that gear for me, I guess it depends on what is wrong with you gearbox? is it the lsd that is stuffed or the synchro's?

i was going to say that I thought Adz weight of the E58 was a little light.... it must be an open centre diff E58 (eg. E58-474, etc).

I know that the C52 and C56 with open centres are really REALLY light compared to an E58-11C (lsd equipped version).... the E58-lsd box just about kills me when i have to move it, but the C52/C56 is relatively easy.

I rekon Sikmr2 has a more accurate weight of an LSD equipped E-series box.... around 60kg dry weight (I would've thought 50ish kilos)

Yeah, getting the E58 LSD i had on to the engine was a serious PITA. The E58 open was much easier.

When I do the new clutch I'm gonna weight mine again, I could have sworn it was 25kg dry but I can't find the photo of it! Surely my scales aren't 10kg out?

I'll post the results here once I do it, which could be a while.
