Toyopro supplied a NEW exedy clutch?
Got my 1GGTE f/wheel from Toyopro? in melbourne, got them to supply that and an exedy clutch to suit the 1GGZE. Works fine.

2JZ-GE are 240mm (same as 7mge), so I go with that being the best explanation (for a 240mm flywheel)!Originally Posted by MR 1JZ

Yeah, was in the plastic and everything! They even machined the flywheel

so the 7mge clutch is the the same size as the 1ggte. Does it have the same bolt pattern? I really dont want the 225mm item, the bigger the better and its like 15% less area than the 240mm one.
Ok i might call around some toyota wrckers etc. Could you guys list which flywheels are compatible.
So far i have 1ggte 225mm and 240mm. 18rg and ......

The 7M flwheel has one of the dowels offset, so no, you couldn't use it.

damn ok then thanks JCMF
AFAIK the 1G is the same as teh 3TGTE. IF this is correct, then from my experience the 18R one won't work (at least teh one that I tried on the 3T didn't. The PCD of the flywheel mounting bolt holes was different AND the spigot was larger on the 18R.
The 18R spigot bearing was correspondingly larger - 18R = bearing # 6201 and 3T = bearing # 6001. I know for sure that the 3T and the 1G are the same flywheels as I happen to have one such item on my car now.
The R353 CLUTCH kit (previously mentioned for earlier gen 1G's) is indeed the same part number for the 18R.

1G bellhousing bolt pattern is the same as the 3T.Originally Posted by YelloRolla

Not saying you are, as I don't know if the 3T flywheel will fit, but I think I have read that somewhere too.

Guys,
The 3TGTE flywheel will bolt to any 1G and is in fact the same as the 1GGE flywheel with a 9" clutch face. This means of course you can bolt an 18R clutch to it. The 1GGTE flywheel has a 9.25" (or thereabouts) clutch face which can be a pain as you need to get either the clutch rebuilt or an aftermarket. The 18R flywheel will NOT bolt to a 1G nor will any other Toyota flywheel I have come across (and I've tried lots over the years).

As has been said a 3TGTE flywheel is the same.
I got one of these from Toyopro (thanks Andrew) some time ago and it is absolutely identical in size to the 1G flywheel I have.
This is currently sitting on my 2T so yeah...
