You may run into problems with what your planning. I'm re-doing the wiring on my RA28 and this is a list of the wire outputs from the 22 pin connector for the Indicator Stalk / Wiper Comb.
Number Colour Function
----------------------------------
1 Blue Wiper +12v
2 Blue Black Wiper Slow
3 Blue Brown Wiper Fast
4 Green Red Horn
5 Yellow Headlight +12v
6 Red Headlights On
7 White Parker Lights On
8 Red White High Beams On
9 Red Black High Beams Off
10 Red Yellow High Beams On
11 White Black High Beams +12V
12 Blue Red Wipers Off
13 Blue Windscreen Squirters
14 Black Windscreen Squirters
15 ----- ---------
16 Green White Flasher Unit (L)
17 Green Yellow Left Indicators lights
18 Green Black Right Indicator lights
19 Green Flasher Unit (B2)
20 Green Blue Flasher Unit (B1)
21 Green Red Indicator Power
22 Green Orange Hazards Power
From what I tested, there are several different controls for things such as the headlights / highbeams. I think this has to do with the way the original loom was earthed (thru the switch, so there was always 12v at the lights).
Best bet would be to break out the multimetre and a find out what input outputs your existing dash uses and go from there.
Good luck!
