Default asking 4 help with brake conversion

i have a 1974 ta22 celica, i have replaced the front suspension with that out of a ra22 celica which happens to be a straight bolt in unit consisting of strut leg and stub axle and brake rotors and the calipers to match, i contacted dba to replace the brake rotors and they dont actually make the brake rotors of a ra22 celica the only make the rotors of a ra23 and ta22 celicas and they happen 2 be solid slotted items, will they line straight up with tha ra22 axles? or do u know of and other vented items that will line straight up with the ra22 axles and will they fit in between the ra22 brake calipers? or do u know of any other twin or four piston brake calipers that will bolt straight up to the ra22 units with no to minimal fuss as i would like to upgrade from solid brake rotors with single piston brake calipers to vented with four piston calipers any help would be appreciated

Celicas sold in Australia: TA22, TA23, RA23, RA28. I very much doubt you have RA22 suspension unless you had it imported from the USA.

Bloody hell Norbie so the guy made a small mistake on his knowing what car parts he has you don't have to be a cock about it. You didn't even try and answer his question. Putting down people that are trying to find answers is not right mate. You didn't know what Celica's where imported to aussie at one point too.

Ok mate basically if you got all this stuff from a wrecking yard or something the like you prob have a RA23/28 strut assembly. New disks for either 23 or 28 will fit if you want to go down that line. If your just looking at a simple brake upgrade from the TA stock brakes I would settle for the 23/28 set up and keep it as is. just get new rotors and a good set of pads. you may also want to look into boring your brake booster to fix the slight bias change from the bigger front calipers.

If your looking for a better upgrade have a search on the conversion forum section for a corona/PUG conversion try searching manually rather then the search as i don't think i've named it correctly here. It basically is an upgrade to coil overs(suspension) vented disks and i think 2pot calipers. However your booster will definately needed to be adjusted on this. There are forum here to help you out with all this unless you've already fixed the problem hope this helps mate

He made a small mistake and I corrected him, which is what this forum is all about (sharing information). Who's being a cock about it? I'd say it's the guy getting all emo over nothing.
