Default Interesting turbo manifold for 2JZ...yes its ebay

having a quick peruse through USA Ebay tonight and I noticed these manifolds to suit 2J's
not your regular china special manifolds...

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2JZGT...spagenameZWDVW

what do our resident manifold experts think?

obviously its no 6boost or roadrunner extravaganza of hotness but for $250-$300 it could be a winner?

cast means you will get nice hot gas going into the rear of your turbo...as opposed to staino which will lose some heat via its thinner walls

better option than your conventional staino china special?

    its only about $100 more...

id rather "lose some heat" than have my engine trying to push exhaust out a restrictive 90 degree bend. that will suffer hotspots bigtime too.

i definately wouldnt use it personally, mind you i wouldnt use a chinese ebay stainless manifold either

probably very cheaply cast, and probably more prone to cracking then a well braced staino jobie,

nasty as dude, it would probly warp as the heat would be concentrated towards the centre.

if you want tightass then buy a Y pipe, shit the surf made 282rwkw with one on 17psi thru the auto and i dare say that with a properly built mani it would only make another 15-20kw.

mind you my new radially fired design might see some bigger numbers, ill let you know in 2 weeks or so (and yes ill provide pics of course)

    cheers

Depends, if your going to be running non-stock cams, then I wouldn't use it.

You can get away with these style of manifolds so long as overlap / reversion is less then stock.

Eitherway, for the time and $$$ spent in re-doing your exhaust, wastegate & intercooler piping along with the turbo feed lines, if its happens to crack too soon and you then switch over to a 6Boost manifold........ you'ld be better of doing it right the first time round.

Rep points are for those who feel inadequate in other areas !

oil drain would be a pinch of piss but the compressor outlet and piping may take abit of work.

just do a Y pipe if you want to go the tightass route, cheap and reliable and probly no cruder than whats there.
